Foster Parent & Kinship In-Person Informational Session
The Children’s Home of Jefferson County (CHJC) invites community members to attend a free, in-person informational session for anyone interested in becoming a foster or kinship parent. This session will provide insight into the foster care process, answer questions, and explain how you can make a meaningful impact on a child’s life.

During the session, participants will learn about foster care and kinship care requirements, the support CHJC provides to caregivers, and the positive impact fostering can have on both children and families.
“Foster parents play an essential role in the lives of children who need stability and support,” said Maura Lowe, Recruitment and Training Specialist at CHJC. “We invite anyone who has ever considered fostering or providing kinship care to join us in person to learn more about how they can make a difference in a child’s life.”
